How to draw and paint birds (How to series)

DESCRIPTION: Birds, beauty on the wing, are remarkable creatures, yet for all their small size and light bodies they are surprisingly complex. Using many sample drawings and paintings, the author explains the basics of capturing birds on paper or canvas.

REVIEW: One of the older (out of print) entries in the venerable Walter Foster art book series, this has some of the best bird anatomy drawings I've found, demonstrating the skeleton, muscles, and wing structures of birds. The text itself is minimal, but a broad range of bird body types is covered. I also got it free, which always helps.
